This theory course is designed to assist supervisors in identifying critical elements of the crane environment that are key in operating cranes and/or qualifying new or existing operators. Loading and unloading is one of the most dangerous operations crewmembers participate in and this course helps the supervisor establish and maintain safe operating arenas (both on and off the vessel) when cargo is being moved.
