This specialized class focuses on the unique problems encountered in performing first aid at sea, where the victim has only his crewmates to depend on. Training by medical professionals includes hands-on practice at patient assessment, CPR, wound management, transporting the injured, medevacs and other emergency medical procedures. Course concludes with a practical scenario.
