Benefits of Membership
NPFVOA is a non-profit organization with a membership composed of approximately 250 vessels, support businesses and individuals totally dedicated to safety education and training for the commercial fishing industry and other mariners.
The NPFVOA Vessel Safety Program is managed by a board of fishing industry leaders and represents trollers, gillnetters, seiners, crabbers, large and small trawlers, longliners, including catcher-processors, at-sea processors, shoreside processing plants, and coastal freighters.
NPFVOA regularly provides information to its members on subjects such as:
- USCG requirements
- OSHA compliance and standards
- International Safety Standards
- MARPOL/OPA-90 compliance
- Current compliance issues
- Drug regulations
